Stir Creativity
Bombay Sapphire
Project Details
In this project I was commissioned by The Other Art Fair (TOAF by Saatchi Art) and Bombay Sapphire (event sponsor) to create visuals for multiple parts of a comprehensive integrated campaign introducing Bombay’s new ready-to-drink canned gin and tonic.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic this was the first virtual fair hosted by TOAF and much of my contributions were either directly or indirectly influenced by the “new normal” of virtual engagement.
In this collaboration I directed and designed frames for an animated intro video to kick off the event. I wanted to demonstrate that the new canned G&T was perfect for “bringing the bar home.”
The short video provides a creative interpretation of the product’s inception before it is enjoyed by a woman who seems to be dressed up for a Zoom Happy Hour.
I also participated in a live artist event. During the fair participants were encouraged to tell us where in the world they’d like to be enjoying a can of G&T. A few lucky folks were able to get their dream scenarios drawn by me and a couple of other artists. The scenarios were varied, from wild parties on California roof tops, to peaceful vistas atop mountain trails.
At the end, each of these speed portraits were displayed online in the virtual TOAF gallery space.
